APRA Music Grants

Each year, the APRA Board sets aside 1.75% of distributable revenue to fund projects, organisations and events promoting the use and recognition of music by APRA members.

APRA’s annual Music Grants are one of the ways APRA supports and sustains the creative life of the NZ music industry.

How to apply

Applications for grants to be made during a financial year (1 July – 30 June) must be received by the Manager of Member Services, together with any required accompanying material, on or before the preceding 31 May.

Because available funding is limited, the APRA NZ Music Grants Committee must:
a) exercise a wide discretion in determining appropriate priorities for support, and
b) reserve the right to reject any application notwithstanding its compliance with the required purpose.

The APRA Board will then determine what grants are to be made, and notify all applicants of the outcome by 31 August. For more information about how to apply contact the Manager of Member Services – Petrina George on (09) 623 4717 or email .
